Youngsters raised in the working and middle class West, are often naive when travelling in countries with harsher drug laws. A bit of self-control goes a long way to help them stay out of trouble. Add that to Egyptian state’s rejection of Afrocentrism, which intentionally distances itself from sub-Sahara Africa. This naive youngster of black African origins, is probably seen as an inferior by the Egyptian state apparatus.
