They don’t want the truth of their wrongdoings be told. They don’t want to face confrontation of their wrongdoings and would not change for a better future.
That is why they want to silence critics and dissent or they control the media to serve their political narratives. Freedom of the Press is often under thread in many countries
If it is US, Russia, China, Israel, Germany, France, UK, Iran, Syria, Hungary and many others.
They all use and abuse the power by threads against those who confront the governments with unconfortable truth.
The actual situation, media laws and conflicts in the world are a clear sign to restrict, media, Journalism, OSINT and Fact-checking efforts, to confront and adress situations where abuses of power occur.
