At some point, they have to leave the ground and fly up through the incoming stream of missiles. They don’t just magically appear in the air above the missiles. Every time they land they have to go back through…and if they take off again they go back up through the path of the missiles again. Additionally, once Hezbollah identifies which airfields are being used, those areas would be targeted more intensely because taking down an F-35 is a more costly loss to the enemy than any building the missiles would hit on the ground.
