Sir, that is not a true quote, is it? When you put text in quotation marks, you are indicating that it is the exact quote. I happen to be very familiar with Theodor Herzl’s writings, therefore, when someone is quoting Theodor Herzl, I would know immediately if it sounds true or not. Theodor Herzl avoided using the words ‘Arab’ or ‘Muslim’ or ‘Islam’. What you are quoting appears on page 88 of his diaries very early in his Zionist career. At that time, he did not know for sure which country he would wind up colonizing: Argentina or Palestine, and therefore he did not mention the people that he would be throwing out of the land and therefore what he said was ‘the penniless population’. This is exactly what he said:
We shall try to spirit the penniless population across the border by procuring employment for it in the transit countries, while denying it any employment in our own country.
