The land in question was never “owned” by the Palestinians. In 1948, the region was ruled in its entirety by the British.
There has never been an sovereign Arab-ruled state called “Palestine.” There COULD have been if the Palestinians had accepted any of the mulitple two state offers that have been laid at their feet. Unfortunately for everyone concerned (including the Palestinians), they have always prioritized their Jew hatred above everything else–including their own childrens’ lives and futures. Their bad.
