My friends who identify themselves to me as Jewish say, “I am Jewish.” But not all the time. Some say, I am Jewish and something else, like Nordic, for instance as one of my friends says. And she is more interested in her Scandinavian heritage and writes historical fiction based on it. In some places in Canada there are visibly identifiable Jewish people, but not here where I live.
