For many people of Bedouin ancestry, the confinement in modern day ghettos constructed of concrete-brick-mortar flats stacked upon one another, deprives them of their freedom of mobility. As an alternative to this consumerist conditioning, to enrich both heritage and ecology, many Palestinians are abandoning these chains, and attempting to get back to the basics. Quite likely there will be a return to semi-nomadic tent dwelling, using eco-friendly technologies, and allowing for freedom through mobility. Through the dark ugliness of war, at times there are glimpses of hope.
