Hamas took over 200 Israeli hostages on 7th. Oct., a war crime. Now for Israel to deal with Hamas for the return of the rest of those hostages (because of public pressure), would be a grave mistake. That is exactly why Hamas took the hostages for in the first place, to use them as “bargaining chips”. Now, if Israel gives in to public pressure and makes a deal with Hamas to release the remaining hostages, that would be playing right into their hands. What would this “deal” look like? I know it is tragic to lose family members like those six hostages killed by Hamas, but negotiating with terrorists is only going to allow the same thing to play out over and over again. The next time, Hamas will capture even more hostages and demand even more concessions. This is a “no win” situation for Israel if they cave in to terrorism.
