Modern Hebrew is not the same language as ancient Hebrew.
Furthermore, many Jewish people – namely those whose families came from Europe – are finding out that they’ve been fed a lie about their origins and have no Middle Eastern DNA. I imagine the same is true of Jewish populations from other continents.
No one is suggesting Palestinians have a greater claim than indigenous Jewish populations to live in their ancestral homeland – they are related after all. But at the moment, non-Jewish Palestinians are being treated as though they have NO right to live in their ancestral homeland at all, as Israel prepares to annex 100% all of historic Palestine and forcibly expel the Palestinians.
Now let’s turn your question around. Why do those Israelis with no Middle Eastern DNA have more rights to live in the region than those whose families have lived in historic Palestine for millennia, right back to when it was the Land of Canaan?
