The ONLY African-Americans (that I know) that AREN’T expressing their alliance with Palestinians are a relatively TINY group that keeps hanging on to Arabs playing a huge part in enslaving African. Not to mention, Arabs currently occupying the vast northern sections of Africa, as if it’s their origin (hence the term ‘North Africa’– and MIDEASTERNERS currently pushing as many Africans (non-Arab) out of those particular countries. Too much to get in to, but there’s MUCH more to the embedded racism on the part of Arabs to get into here. Nor do I want to risk conflating that issue with Israel (w/ the aid of U.S./Biden) committing GENOCIDE in Gaza on the INDIGENOUS Palestinians. Other than that particular demographics– as well as individuals simply fearful of losing their jobs– most African-Americans (I know and observe) are in full support of Palestine,. Support for Palestine is rooted in large sections of the black ‘community’ since the ‘Black Power Movement’ in the late ’50s to the ’70s– and even before then. There are PLENTY of black scholars and instructors that have led– and put their future status on- the- line —in support of the Palestinian people.
