Palestine and Palestinians were first noted by the ancient Egyptians, who carved in stone, references to them FIVE THOUSAND YEARS AGO. They also made a note when a tribe called Judah, wandered in (from what is now Iraq) and set up camp in Palestine 3000 years ago.
The name Palestine comes from the ancient Palestinian/Canaanite God Pales and is far, far older than the Romans.
