Sarandon is wrong on this one. Gaza started this war, not Israel. It started on 7 Oct. when they launched over 5,000 rockets into Israel. Hamas then went in and slaughtered over 500 Israeli’s, including women and children who weren’t a threat and were not even armed. Then Hamas took over 250 hostages, also including women and children. These were two blatant war crimes committed by Gaza on the very first day. What does Sarandon say about that? Maybe she is of the opinion that it is okay for Hamas to commit those crimes because that is what terrorists do? As for children being killed, yes that is regrettable but when you put missiles and munitions in residential areas, this is what happens. Hamas even uses hospitals as command bases and stores munitions in same. This is also a war crime, what does she have to say about this? Hamas also stores rockets and munitions around mosques, schools and other public places. UNWRA even discovered a terror tunnel beneath one of their schools, how good is that? The year and a half ‘great march of return”, Hamas bussed women and children every week for all of this time where 46 children were killed and 8,000 injured. What kind of parents do this? Now Gaza is crying boohoo, Israel is killing our children. That didn’t seem so important during this great march but it seems convenient now. One last thing, Gaza is crying they are out of oil, gas, clean drinking water, electricity and hospital care. Why didn’t think of those things before attacking Israel? Let’s not blame this on Hamas, Gaza freely elected them in ’06 and supported them thru 4 previous wars so they have to be held accountable for their poor choice.
