The word “Israeli” is very offensive to me because it was created by copying from Arabic nationality names like Yemeni, Iraqi, Saudi – and the i-suffix is Arabic. The Ashkenazi were trying to have a nationality name that sounds Middle Eastern – but the Ashkenazi are not a Middle Eastern people but a European people!
