I disagree. You are dealing with a brainwashed population that believes that martyrdom will usher in the Middle East without any Muslims. You have 8-10-year-old kids who will murder to become a martyr. You are talking about a population where every man, woman and child could potentially have a weapon, knife or a bomb. These “leaders” are not generals and can be replaced with ease.
Israel must destroy the fabric of life in Gaza and eliminate as many foot terrorists as possible including the leadership wherever they are. It must also kill as many of the supporters, enablers and human shields as possible to leave a mark for future reference not just for the Gazans but all Palestinians, Lebanese, Syrians, Iraqis and Iranians. This war must be decisive or it will not be the last one.
Keep in mind that you are not dealing with recognizable Army units but rather terrorists that blend in and use the population for cover and are dug into underground tunnels.
The Gazans are not victims, if they were they would co-operate with the IDF in locating tunnels and the hostages.
NO peace marches, NO calls for ending the war. But they were cheering Hamas after 10/07.
Gaza must be rendered unlivable for the next 10-20 years and Arab states must understand that the next round will be more severe and if Gazans are to be saved it should be in another Arab state.
