I go along with you on Iran’s rather vulnerable position in the wider region, mitigated though by the positive and constructive ties held with two neighbourly countries, Qatar and Oman.
But a different juncture emerges outside the Islamic space if you consider the “strategic ” treaties binding Tehran to Russia and China 🇨🇳. They are a reality although I share the opinion of those doubtful as to how really strategic they may be.
Anyway I draw your attention to the gist of my post. My aim was essentially to highlight the difference existing between the targets of the attacks carried out by Iran and Pakistan. A reason for sharing the opinion spelt out by the Wilson Centre expert. That’s all.
