M.E. countries persecute gays and lesbians because in their Koran, as well as it appears in the Hebrew Scriptures and the “New” Testament, those activities are condemned.
I do not agree with discrimination against gays, lesbians, and women, but if folks claim their “sacred” books are infallible and the word of G-d, then the condemnation is justified (although wrong).
