A two-state solution could be achieved that would essentially end terrorism in Israel. Kick out all the Palis from Israel. No one to commit terrorism that way…but give them a Palestinian state to go to. Bring in the UN to stand inbetween the two states (like happened with Turkish invasion of Cyprus). And voila. Done.
A. With no Palis in Israel there will be no one to accuse Israel of persecuting them. After that if one wants to enter Israel to temporarily work or visit they must be thoroughly vetted.
b. If the Palis want to have representative lob missles after they have their own state they will have zero sympathy from anyone that matters. No one but jidhadist crazies would blame a military response from Israel if they had their own state..
c. Arguing Iran and perhaps Turkey are an existential threat is legit. Palestinians are NOT an existential threat to Israel. They have some fanatics that are a threat to Israel’s security but in the real world most states have to deal with states that are hostile to them. Greece has to constantly worry about conflict with the former Yugoslavians and Turkey. This doesn’t mean I oppose the existence of a homeland for them. Anyone looking for perfect security will not find it. Even trying too hard to achieve perfect security will only guarantee a near permanent state of war.
