The people of Afghanistan were shown freedom for 20 years during the US tenure, while the Taliban were driven off. Their army was trained and given ample military equipment to defend themselves. They had 20 years of instruction as well as many other accommodations bestowed on them. So what happened when the US departed. The Taliban took over without hardly firing a shot. So this tells me the people of Afghanistan are nothing but sheep and need to be herded for many more years. Now look in contrast at Ukraine. They are fighting for their freedom and the world is helping them out.
