A population exchange. Kick out all the Arabs that identify as Palestinian from Israel. Strip them of their citizenship and send them to a sovereign Palestinian state. Ditto for a portion of Jewish settlers to give Palestinians a continuous viable state.
I can’t tell you 100 percent it would work but I know it worked for Greece and Turkey.. This doesn’t mean all of sudden peace between Greeks and Turks but it ended the day to day violence in lew of a cold rather than hot war. People can go about their day and the future can worry about the future.. Its when our two groups are living together that its perpetual conflict.
Nation building is a messy business. I understand the Jewish moral dilemma on this issue (and support aspects of Likuds views) because I feel the same about how Greeks won their independence from Turkey. We had to either kill or kick out the Turks or they wouldn’t have allowed a Greek state to come into existence.
At some point though national building must end. Don’t be fooled by the mystical destiny rhetoric. The god, queen and country is the cry of every great civilization. And every great civilization eventually declines. What matters most is that you are safe in your own country. Survival and prosperity not conflict should be the goal of Israel. Be a beacon of light for the world. Don’t become the bad guys because you were once targets of the bad guys.
