The Ashkenazi were never a part of the Middle East until they began to arrive in the Middle East claiming to be the Hebrews returning home. But the problem with that claim is that the Ashkenazi have nothing in common with the people in the Middle East, they are in fact completely a European people who used the biblical text to grab a piece of Arab land for free.
