Islamic run states are primarily motived by religion. Not every nation with predominantly Islamic demographic is motived primarily by Islam of course. Turkey is mostly Islamic demographically but it isn’t run as a theocracy and Turkish identity revolves around ethnic nationalism All ethnic based states show preference to their own ethnic group to various degrees. Fascism just represented the extreme end of ethnic nationalism much like communism represented the extreme end of socialism. .
Many that like preaching about migrants, human rights, multiculturalism and pluralism… but only for other people’s homelands where they are a minority not their own. This epic hypocrisy is a global not regional issue. Rather than sit down like adults to resolve the current moral contradiction between human rights (as defined today) and having a homeland, billions of hypocrites like to virtue signal. This includes MEMO that likes to lecture other states to support migrants then flip-flops with its own alleged values by wanting an Islamic state devoted to Palestinians rather than an open bordered pluralistic secular liberal democracy that they advocate for others.
