“Don`t you find these authors trustworthy?”
Noam Chomsky: only on linguistics.
Norman Finkelstein, John J. Mearsheimer, Ilan Pappé: dishonest.
Why isn’t Benny Morris, a leftist Israeli historian who serve time in jail for refusing to serve in Judea/Samaria and is the first of Israel’s “New Historians”, on your list?
Why isn’t Alan Dershowitz, author of “The Case for Israel”, on your list?
Why isn’t Eugene Kontorovich, a professor of international law
who writes about Israel, on your list?
“the supposed benign influence of AIPAC”
The article I excerpted does not mention “benign” or its synonyms,
and it says that the influence is minimal.
From the excerpt:
AIPAC is powerful because it is the accredited watchdog on an issue
the non-Jewish public cares about; if the dog barks, something is wrong.
“Congress members who were more supportive of Israel at the start of the Gaza war received over $100,000 more on average from pro-Israel donors during their last election than those who most supported Palestine.”
I’m shocked, I tell you, shocked!!!
