Turkey was the first Muslim country to recognize the entity which is
completely hard for me to understand how after colonizing Palestine for over
400 years that they would betray them and they were the first of all Muslim
countries in line to recognize the entity. What is surprising about Iran
recognizing the entity in 1950 (only two months after Turkey recognized it)
was that it should have been the first country to recognize it because the
Shah of Iran was the best friend of the Jews. But he must have been too
scared to be the first Muslim country to recognize the entity and therefore
– when Turkey recognized the entity in January of 1950, then the Shah got
encouraged and recognized the entity in March of 1950.
