The Ashkenazi at most have a 20% bit of Levantine ancestry. The overwhelming majority have ZERO! They share the same ancestry as the Polish and Ukraines. The Sephardi? Maghrebi, Beta and Kaifeng have even less.
The Mizrahi have some but it is watered down with Arab and Persian as they got friendly with the locals.
However, two anomalies. The Italian Rites and Djerba Jews are descendants of those expelled by the Romans. Their closest relatives are the Palestinians!
