Re: Tel Aviv wants everyone to fear Israel, says Swedish writer of Jewish origin

MEMO quotes Swedish* writer of Jewish origin without telling the full story of this Israel Schamir
(englische Schreibweise Israel Shamir), other names: Jöran Jermas, Adam Ermash, Robert David.
He is a Russian-Israeli writer and journalist with his main residence in Sweden, who is associated with the right-wing extremist scene and the circle of Holocaust deniers.
Shamir advocates the one-state solution in Palestine under the motto “One Man, One Vote, One State”.
He is criticized for his anti-Semitic statements, including Holocaust denial.(!)
Among other things, he blames the Jews for the Second World War and the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.[favorite theory of JamalX] As part of his journalistic activities, Shamir also wrote for the Russian magazine “Sawtra”, which is considered to be highly anti-Semitic, and the right-wing extremist US “Vanguard News Network”.

According to a report in the British magazine “Searchlight Magazine” from May 2004, Israel Schamir and his Norwegian translator Hans Olav Brendberg have numerous connections to right-wing extremist and conspiracy circles, including Horst Mahler‘s German College.

In August 2009, Shamir stated in an interview that it was “the duty of every Muslim and Christian to deny the Holocaust, to shake off this belief.”

Shamir’s background is unclear, but according to his own information, he was born into a Jewish family in Novosibirsk in Siberia in 1947.
Shamir became a Swedish citizen in 1992.
He has lived in Sweden on and off at least since 1984 and changed his name to Jöran Jermas in 2001.

*Shamir has been Greek Orthodox since 2003.
