There were numerous opportunities to save Jews from the hardships put upon them, but they were not satisfied with the options.
The Zionists needed pictures of emaciated victims to create the drama (even if those pictures lack context). The reality of those pictures, of emaciated prisoners, was that they were taken after the rail lines were bombed, by the allies, and supplies were cut off.
