What did MEMO think would be the result of Hamas attacking Israel? That Jews would sit idle by and watch their citizens killed? MEMO’s own fanaticism in supporting Hamas gave Likud the justification it needed for another Nakba. Rather than support leaders that recognized Israel and shunned violence, MEMO supported leaders that wanted a gun fight. In a gun fight the better shooter wins. Peaceful compromise is the only option available to Palestinians and “human rights defenders” MEMO supported fanatics.
