There are no safe zones in a war ridden countries, but there are ‘safer’ zones. The Gazans have learned over the last nearly two decades how to increase their chances of survival during wars with Israel. Essentially they need to treat the jihadis as lepers, and even if there is a hint of them operating in the school, housing complex, hospital, mosque, etc., then they immediately change directions. But about 10% of the population, or 220,000 are jihadi combatants and/or stronger supporters of the jihadis during battle. So, these Gazans are less likely to head to ‘safer’ zones, but instead stay and run support missions for the jihadis. These also include children that carry intel, light-arms, explosives, etc. to and from jihadi combatants. Quite likely these wannabe jihadis also die in combat. Probably at only eight months of fighting, there are well over 110,000 dead ‘jihadis’.
