As for Geneva Convention IV
Article 28 of the 1949 Geneva Convention IV provides:
“The presence of a protected persons may not be used to render certain points or areas immune from military operations.”

All Hamas had to do 16 months ago was to lay down their arms and release all the hostages and Gaza would have been spared all the grief Hamas has brought upon them.
