America is not a pariah. Lots of nations want good relations with it including Islamic ones. If far right Christian nationalist element in the US ever pushed Europe away though that would not continue. The balance of economic and political power would shift away from US to the rest of the world. The Christian fundy segment in US politics would be in big dodo both politically and economically then. As America is a country of immigrants, even most Americans would want to get rid of them in such a scenario..
That’s why it’s highly unlikely even conservatives would ever use their military to attack NATO ally Netherlands despite the tough talk… What’s more likely to happen is they will look for ways to economically sanction the ICC and others ways to undermine it. In either circumstance there is almost zero chance the ICC could get their hands on Netanyahu so point is rather moot.
What’s worrying though some Americans are by inch-by-inch undermining global institutions Americans helped create after WW2 for their own strain of religious fanaticism. Although AIPAC and some Jews have aligned with them, the primary reason that the US looks the other way with Netanyahu is because of segment of Christian extremists. It’s mostly in the US but they have elements of support among mostly Christian conservatives in US, UK, Canada, and Australia. A few other places too but not as part of the same team sense. They are splinter group of Christians not all of them. What they are trying to do is quietly match their interpretations of the Christian religion with matters of state.. ironically even in violation of the US Constitution.
