Whether Israel recognised it or not is immaterial. America has right of veto so it won’t happen in the UN and that is where it counts.
Israel chose to embrace 181 and used it to declare independence.
The Palestinians were, are and remain opposed to Partition.
Simple answer is for Israel to end Partition and go back to one state. One person, one vote. They’d best hurry up as the percentage of Jews in Israel has been shrinking since the 1960’s so at some point they’ll be a minority and then it’ll end!
