You are delusional. This is a war of extermination by Israel to eradicate the people of Gaza. Nor is it done in the name of Islam. But, in fact it is a war against Islam and ideological on the part of Israel, the Biden/Harris administration and others in The West. History, as has been said ad nauseum, did not begin on October 7th. Israel intends to destroy not just Hamas, but is purposefully and with intent committing genocide. Hamas could lay down their weapons (as to WHY is rather puzzling) and release all the hostages and Israel would continue the slaughter – Netanyahoo, has said so as have other fanatics who are members of his regime – in fact, some have outright advocated extinguishing the population of Gaza.
There are 15,000 to 40,000 Hamas militants – the lower end number being more accurate. It is not a standing army – there is no central command and headquarters. To use a Ronald Reagan term, they are ‘freedom fighters’ or more so ‘the resistance’ to an apartheid regime intent on extinguishing the Palestinian people. There is an ugly history of occupation which you seem either to neglect or lack awareness.
Maybe you should contemplate the death of Rachel Corrie and recently Aysenur Ezgi Eygi. The obviously senile president of the USA called the recent killing of Eygi, by a sniper: ‘an accident’.
Or the masses of children murdered by the IDF. The destruction of every university in Gaza and 80% of all elementary and high schools.
And indeed: so-called Christian churches should be advocates for peace.
