In 1951, Turkey was the first Muslim country to recognize the European Jews who had invaded and occupied Palestine. The Turks understand that they cannot be friends with the US if they are not friends of the Jews and so that is what is preventing Turkey from cutting loose the European Jews on Arab land. It is not only the trade relationship that has to be dismantled but the entire relationship between the Jews and Turkey.
