I was very excited when the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and the President of Syria embraced. I was very excited about Iran and Saudi Arabia reconciling. I have the habit of lecturing that Muslims need to get united because they have so many deadly enemies all over the world. But I am having a hard time accepting Turkey and Syria becoming friends again – because they used to be great friends and then the Turkish government unleashed its deadly weapons on Syria causing extreme damage to the country and to the people of Syria. I have a feeling that the people of Syria will not be so easy to forget or to forgive. It gives me no pleasure to be saying what I am saying about t a Muslim country – Turkey.
