Türkiye wishes to deal with the refugee/asylum seeker problem as well as secure its borders without having to deal with Kurdish PKK threats. Dealing with Syria is meant to resolve differences. I don’t know anyone at this stage willing to visit Syria for tourism purposes. But look at Türkiye and you see millions each year travelling the country and spending FX, staying at luxury resorts. If only Syria could enjoy tourism.
