Turkey was the first Muslim country to recognize the foreigners who invaded an occupied Palestine by force and they used rape and massacres to scare the indigenous population to flee and it worked: 200,000 fled to Gaza and 400,000 fled to the West Bank! And only a year later, Turkey wanted to be the first Muslim country to recognize this entity. If the government of Syria had behaved the same way as the Turkish government towards the invaders of Palestine, Syria would have done extremely well. Remember that the Jews can use the power of the Western countries to demolish a Muslim country that opposes them. Turkey attacked Syria for no other reason except for sectarian reasons and I feel quite sure about that.
