Erdogan drops the occasional idi0tic blooper, and comes across undiplomatic as a result. The ex-British PM once mocked him with a poem about be@stiality and won the winning prize from ‘Spectator’ magazine. A zany German ‘comedian’ said other disgusting things about him. Although the criticisms levelled at Erdogan had no base, he shoulda asked himself why/how he became the bvtt of these jokes. Erdogan needed to reinvent himself urgently, because as it stood the naysayers felt they had nothing to lose by saying these false, reprehensible things. That’s not right for the leader of a country like Túrkiye to be subjected to.
Personally, I’m disappointed and embarrassed at such language towards Mitsotakis/ Greeks. Erdogans inability to speak English is a SEVERE h@ndicap, and that automatically places him at a disadvantage in the international arena. I look forward to the day when we have a leader who is fluent in English, approachable and not given to petty quarrels and cutting himself off by shunning other leaders.
Unlike previous Turkish leaders, I’ve never, ever seen/ heard Erdogan tell a joke, show humour or make anyone laugh. He’s way too serious, and this makes him stand out for all the wrong reasons, not to mention it obscures his good attributes. God invented m@rijuana for the likes of him, someone need to pass him a ‘joint’. Maybe his wife Emine could roll him one like Dolma 🙃
