Israel’s “consent” is sought?

Britain (as Historic Palestine’s Mandate Power) would have been wise, would she not? To have paid considerably more attention to the very substantially in-majority native Palestinian existential interest, post WW2.

Britain’s ally Norway has been consistent in her quiet reminder that democratic process (consultative democratic process) is of the essence for our contemporary United Nations Charter inspired ‘international order’. And if “democratic process is to function” – insofar as contemporary Palestine-Israel is concerned – then the constant fact is that the voice of contemporary Palestine’s very substantially in majority (but today, unlawfully dispersed and hence, fragmented) population MUST BE LISTENED TO.
