The UK is correct! The reality is that the longer it takes to root out Hamas, the longer it is going to take to get that basic humanitarian necessities to the good people of Gaza.
Hamas had to know from the very beginning that if they massacred enough Israelis, raped women, and rounded up hundreds of hostages of all ages, that it was not going to go well for the people of Gaza that Hamas imbeds itself with.
