As long as abducted Israeli civilians, women, children, and soldiers are held in Gaza, Israel’s military should
{A} – continue seeking both the hostages and their Hamas abductors, and {B} – it should continue to do so, even if
-1- the displaced Gazans can never return home, -2- the destroyed buildings are never rebuilt, and even if
-3- all Gaza inhabitants starve or die in this New Status Quo, of war and insufficient aid.
