I love my country, but I am ashamed of my Congress and our Presidents, present and past. Not a single one, including the current inept, Joe Biden, and an exception for perhaps, Jimmy Carter, had/has the morality to speak in defense of the Palestinians. Every politician in the U.S. is afraid of AIPAC. AIPAC controls the American Congress and the office of the President. In Gaza, Israeli forces are killing Palestinian children at a previously unfathomable rate. “Over the past 40 days, Israeli forces have murdered more than 5,000 children in Gaza – with an additional 1,800 children missing under the rubble of destroyed buildings, most of them presumed dead. That is more than 6,800 Palestinian children killed over a period of 40 days. That amounts to over 170 children killed each day.” There is certainly room to question such large figures covering such a short span of time. But overall, the figures are probably correct. As past President Obama stated, “We’ve all got blood on our hands.” As the American singer, Willie Nelson, sang, “Mamas, don’t let your sons grow up to be cowboys”, we might just change the lyrics to read, “Mamas, don’t let your sons grow up to be politicians.” Just look how they’ve turned out. SHAME.
