Who is it that this monarchy is afraid of and is spending billions buying weapons from the US government? The US government has bombed so many Muslim countries but never Saudi Arabia because Saudi Arabia is the darling of America and of the West. In 1978, the American ambassador met with Prince Abdullah (who later on become King) and Prince Abdullah told him that the love he had for America was in his blood and the American ambassador assured him that America would go to work to protect Saudi Arabia. So I really do not understand who is Saudi Arabia so afraid of that it is wasting a lot of its money buying military weapons?
