They have to expand the conflict because they’re losing to Hamas. The only way to not lose to Hamas is to expand the conflict. Thus the political solution moves from the creation of Palestinian state and becomes something about the existential crisis of the jooish state.
The US will then get involved and who knows what happens after that. Zionists are playing with fire. They will be burned.
