Aaron Bushnell always in my heart! How could I ever forget you that you
gave up the only life you had because you could not deal with the pain of
knowing that your own country was directly responsible for the
massacres, the starvation, the destruction, that is going on in Gaza. Since
your passing, we have come to learn from your friends that you had
security clearance to hold a very sensitive position where you had come
to learn that American soldiers were indeed in Gaza fighting and
murdering the Palestinians for the sake of the Jews! And I do believe that
the reason that you decided to take your life was because the pain was
too much for you to deal with. I also believe that you were torn between
two decisions for you to make: whether for you to announce publicly
that American troops were in Gaza killing Palestinians but you did not
want to do that because you loved your country and you understood the
ramifications of that kind of disclosure — but on the other hand, you felt
complicit in the crimes that were being committed against the
Palestinians by your country – and that was why you chose the word
complicit’ only a few minutes before you took your life. I do believe that
you could not forgive yourself for not making public the information that
you had access to which would definitely have stopped the war
immediately. The pain that I feel in my heart is not easy to heal and time
may not even be a factor in the healing process in this case.
