There is an overlapping of aircraft and pilots between the US military and the IDF/IAF. Jets come and go between the two countries’ militaries. There is also an overlapping of pilots. This is another reason why both nations are very careful to avoid at nearly all means of personnel being downed, and ensure downed technology is destroyed.
