Antigreek bigots like you don’t get Greeks. We seek our interests like everyone else but we try to do it in fair ways. When the first iraq war happened we participated. It was an understandable war. Saddam invaded another country and Bush Sr did a fantastic job uniting the world to kick him out.
During the second Iraq we didn’t participate. Bush Jr was a bumbling idiot. He attacked Iraq that didn’t have anything to do with 9/11 and didn’t have WMD. Bush also used state sponsered torture. It cost American taxpayers over a trillion bucks and ended up undermining their own interests. Many Americans today regret their decision to invade Iraq and wished they had listened to those that argued against invading the second time.
It was against Greece’s own national interest to not participate out of moral principle as we knew the Americans would be upset. The former Yugoslavians capitalized on the situation and went to war for Bush’s fake reasons in the coalition of the willing. And were “coincidentally” recognized the following year by Bush.
