The Middle East fuels much of the world and its economies, and they control the waterways that bring it them. Iran, Russian, and China (no bastions of human rights), want to control them and that is what we are doing there. They fund and supply Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, Houthis, and other terrorist organizations and they are just being used to keep us busy and distracted, while they jockey for a tremendous amount of power. Do you think we should be isolationists?
A lot of people thought we should stay out of WWII. They said the war is over there, let them keep it over there, but the Nazis and their allies grew stronger and we did not enter the war until tens of millions of white Christians killed each other, and Nazis rounded up six million Jews for extermination. The Japanese had murdered five million civilian in Indo-China, Indonesia, Philippines, China, Manchuria before they decided to attack Pearl Harbor which brought us into the war.
The US cannot just watch from afar until they start coming for US interests and start attacking US Ships and planes and literally gain too much military power over us.
