It is absolutely unacceptable for the dangerous authority of shaping international relations to be held hostage by the interests of five permanent member states, especially the US, as it is the dominant power in the world.

certainly, it’s ethically questionable for the organization to be led by the powerful. it would be closer to ideal to turn the organization into an absolute democracy and allow Tibet and Gran Fenwick to be as important in reaching consensus as the nations who have power.

we might wish to be guided by pure democracy and think that the Pope, who has no divisions, but has far more moral authority than does a pig such as Putin, should never be outshouted by an animal who is more equal
