Those are the words of Eric Hoffer, an American social activist, known as “the longshoreman philosopher” and author of the book “The True Believer”, an analysis of radical social movements where he concluded that mass revolutionary protests were disconnected from real issues and more about an abnegation of self identity. That insight could certainly be aptly applied to the anti-American anti-Zionist protests that have gone on in the last year or so.
