Re: White House refuses to commit to ensuring Palestinians can stay in Gaza under Trump's plan

Nearly 18 months after Maui wildfires, only 3 homes have been rebuilt, and that’s in the USA. Think how much bigger the project to rebuild Gaza, and who is going to pay for it, who will get the contracts, who will oversee many years of rebuilding, while one and half million people are displaced, thanks to Hamas and their methods? Where is Hamas going to train its terrorists with the international world feeding them at the same time? How will they get re-armed?

And then Gaza will have to get in line— UNHCR (UN Refugee Agency) most recently estimated that, by the end of 2023, for the first time in recorded history, the number of people forcibly displaced is now over 122.6 million, with over 32 million refugees under UNHCR’s mandate

According to the 2024 Impact Report: Response to new emergencies and protracted crises published today, UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, declared 26 new emergencies last year, seven at the most severe level. Overall, UNHCR responded to or managed 43 emergencies, including 17 that continued from 2023.
